Things are looking very good. Dragons & Science should be out soon! The Housesitter has taken a major step forward. The scripts I wrote for Brad Thornton and Rob Walker have taken a huge step forward. Once again, not giving up the teaching forensics gig (The day job!).
Dec 31th, 2010
It’s been a while since I posted. Dragons & Science maybe out in a month!! Let’s hope so. Meantime, my screenplay The Housesitter is doing well and might get filmed. I wrote two other scripts for producer/actor (Brad Thornton), Mums the word on the details.

March 10th, 2010
I’m going back to I-CON (www.Iconsf.org), some cool guests this year. We are still filming THE NIGHT JOB and DISHONORABLE VENDETTA. The big news is still THE HOUSESITTER, director Jose Cassella (www.josecassella.com), has agreed to direct the film.
January 10th, 2010
Well things look good. Robert Gorden Spencer (www.batpigpictures.com) asked me to write a low budget horror movie. Long story short I wrote House Sitter for him. They gave me the first four pages and I did the rest. Filming for the trailer is next weekend in South Fla.
December 8th, 2009
Merry Christmas and Happy Holiday. I have been real busy, still. Since August, I have been filming every weekend except three.
I just wrote another screenplay for Mike Jones, a zombie flick I call THE DARK DIAMOND.
I actually have a manager for my acting gigs now, Helen Priomos. I have played a kindly psychologist, a racist, cops, and killers. Joy to the world!
August 13th, 2009
It has been busy for me. I have been involved with six film projects. I’m killing zombies in Jason Artiga’s The Night Job. Playing a militia member with a lot of guns in Scott Goldberg’s The Project. Andre’ Joseph cast me as DEA agent that moonlights as a bartender for his film Dishonorable Vendetta. I’m a wise-ass brooklynite in My 21st Birthday. A therapist in Anatomy of the Lonely and a Mafia Boss in Waldo Warshaw & Brian Schuley’s Blood Fusion.
Pete Passaro fell off the Earth so I don’t know if Dragons & Vamps will be illustrated anytime soon.
Kings was definitely canceled, despite a spike in its ratings towards the end.
Looking forward to Brian’s wedding, but the bachelor party should be fun. A bunch of stuntmen at a bachelor party, then again we’re all over 40. How wild can that be when bed time is 9pm?
May 3rd, 2009
It’s been awhile. I’ve been busy. I-Con was fun. Been filming The Night Job, I’m playing Col. Stewart, a bad guy. Yes!
Things don’t look good for Kings. But Its not canceled yet. Went to Tucson to see a friend. Been auditioning like mad. Pete’s been working on the illustrations for Dragons and Vamps. That’s about it.
February 26th, 2009
It has been a tragic week. One of my best friends, Officer Glen Ciano, was laid to rest after dying in the line of duty Sunday the 22nd. I cannot believe I’ll never hang out with him again. (Newsday Article)
February 15th, 2009
Kings wraps up filming this week www.Kings2009.com. They didn’t need me so I hoping that they get picked up for a second season. Watch the two hour movie March 15th on NBC. Then I’m in the first episode after that and a few others. I-Con 28 is having me back, www.iconsf.org, this is always fun. It would be nice if some of the people from Kings were guests, maybe talk Michel Green or Francis Lawrence into beefing up my role.
Pete Passaro is illustrating my graphic novel, Dragons & Vamps. I like how my story came out, now its up to Pete’s drawing skills to bring it to light.
Keeping my fingers crossed for Saint Dementia. The people that still want to make it are finishing up another movie down in New Orleans, lets see what happens.
January 25th, 2009
Blinky Production’s Chris R. Nortile used me to play Haggar in a film trailer for FINAL FIGHT. He wants to make a film version of the video game (Video Clip)
January 14th, 2009
Here’s a Kings promo that I’m in! (Kings Video Clip) It aired during the Golden Globes. I’m one of the Generals storming out of a car. They did film more of me. The two hour movie aires Thursday Night March 19th. Then the next week should be the first of at least three that I’m in.
January 4th, 2009
Happy New Years, I’m still digesting food. Good news, I have a book signing January 25th at Wizards book store in East Northport (Wizzards Book Store).
Hopefully I will have some good news about Saint Dementia.
December 9th, 2008
NBC has released some promos for KINGS. I’m not in them.
November 28th, 2008
It finally came out! The Town That Banned Christmas, aka, The Town That Outlawed Christmas, aka, A Merry Little Christmas, is now available on Amazon. Karl Fink acted as both director and editor for P.J. McIlvaine’s (My Horrible Year) script.
Worked on Kings again with Chris Egan, looks like they’ll call me back a few more times to be the Gath General.
Joe Pomarico, who worked on Hard Boiled Haggarty, might have me back in another western. A saloon scene, yee-ha!
I’m starting a graphic novel, Dragons & Vamps, with Pete Passaro. I’ve never done this before and should be interesting.
Hope you all had enough to eat!
September 9th, 2008
This weekend I will be playing a general in NBC’s new show KINGS (www.nbc.com/Kings/index.shtml), from the folks that brought us HEROES. What a great story this is, a retelling of David & Goliath in a mythical Kingdom. The great Ian McShane (Deadwood) plays the King and Christopher Egan (Resident Evil: Extinction) is the young David. Hopefully I’ll be called back for future episodes.
August 26th, 2008
I just got back from Albany. I worked for Brian Schuley’s GZ Entertainment doing special effects for the Japanese produced ORION IN MIDSUMMER. We replicated the K-Gun that shot the depth charges, plus other SFX. It’s a fascinating project that shows the humanity on both sides of WWII, where a Japanese captain decided not to use suicide torpedoes. Nice to hear a historical fact about war that shows how good people do the right thing. We filmed on the USS Slatter, we were like little kids in a big play pen.
The script competition is close, so go to www.SkyCupid.net and vote for my script THE POWER OF PRAYER. I’m on page four.
July 20th, 2008
The Long Island International Film Expo wrapped up. I got to meet Yancy Butler from Witchblade and Drop Zone, very classy lady. Too bad she has a boyfriend.
Matt Beckham (Beckham’s MySpace) was there. He’s a sword master that’s been in William Kaufman’s The Prodigy and the up coming Sinners & Saint.
Sinners & Saints (Sinners & Saints MySpace) will have my pals Brian Schuley and Pete Passaro do the SFX, down New Orleans way.
The filming of Ultima has been pushed back to next week.
My niece Merridith will be on Lifetime TV’s Primp My Pooch with her dog A.J. They’re both have more air time then I do now.
And last, I entered a short screenplay, The Power Of Prayer, into a contest at Sky Cupid. If it wins, they’ll film it. So if you get a chance, drop by www.skycupid.net and click on Vote On Scripts. You’ll have to register, but you will not get any spam from them. If you value my friendship, you’ll vote for me. If not, I have vaaayyyzzz of finding out! I mean you Arthur!
June 28th, 2008
School’s out for summer!
We just wrapped COLE STEEL. Story by Pete Passarro, written by me and directed by Alfredo Quinones of Ronin Film Studios www.roninfilmstudios.com. The fight scenes were awesome. I got slammed into a wall about 20 times for a shot. My senesi, Renshi George Satiago, did a full ten minute Ti-Jitsu fight with Pete. It’s not a traditional martial arts fight for film.
I will be be hosting the Q&A sessions at the Long Island Film Expo in another week. www.liifilmexpo.org
June 4th, 2008
Here’s No. 27, the short film where I got to be a hitman No. 27
Here’s me getting shot, but living. DBS MKIII, Waldo has improved the system even more, and producers are using it for their productions.
Working hard to learn my lines for Ultima.
May 28th, 2008
It’s been a busy two months. I’ve been in a few films.
I played a tough guy in Hard Boiled Haggarty: The Scourge of the Vagabond Spectre from Tommy Gunn Prod.
I was the fight coordinator in Conocsenti Studios’ Gio
In Frank Sabatella’s Blood Night, I was Lieutenant Biersboch. www.horror-movies.ca/horror_11159.html
LiPeng had me as Tim, a kindly foster father in Shaolin Films’ A Man From Shaolin (www.myspace.com/shaolinfilmproductions)
It was great playing the lead in Michael Mayer’s film short No. 27. I was Jim, a Hitman with a conscious.
A.J, Epyx Production’s Liam, just gave me the role of Brad Dunn, a versatile & vile man with many questionable connections, in his film Ultima. Filming starts in a few weeks on Staten Island.
Finally, I get to be a Thug again in Pete Passaro’s comic book styled Cole Steel
Take a look at Wendy Sheppard’s Officially Plugged-In site www.officiallypluggedin.com/actors/drew_henriksen.php

March 30th, 2008
Just got good news, Draghi E Lupi, the Italian version of Dragons & Wolves sold over 1,100 in 2007. Hopefully this will lead to the other two being printed over there. It looks good.
I-Con 27 is next weekend(www.Iconsf.org), I’ll be on several different panels. Hope to see some of you folk there.
I have an audition this morning in Jersey City for Derek Morse’s THE PLAN. I’m going for the role of a sarcastic father that gets beat up. At least I don’t get killed again.
I have no idea when Dragons & Science will be out.
March 2nd, 2008
I was just in a bar fight scene for SCURGE OF THE VAGABOND SPECTRE: HARDBOILD HAGGERTY III. It was a fun shoot, got a bottle broken over my head and everything. Click here to watch the trailer.

I’m invited back to I-CON 27, www.Iconsf.org, I’m looking forward to meeting Tracy Scoggins and Tim Russ. Rutger Hauer was going to be there, learned his Tear’s in Rain monolog from Blade Runner, but he canceled.
There’s Nothing new with Saint Dementia. The producers are working on a film called SINNERS AND SAINTS, that will start filming in April. Once that is done, they’re suppose to start on St. D.
Nothing new with Dragon’s and Science either. Archbooks said it will be printed, it’s just a matter of time.
January 1st, 2008
Been busy. I finally got shot to death for FRONT MAN.
Ryan Uzi screened THE RIVER OF COPSA MICA MySpace Film Trailers where I was being axed to death by the Pagan Flynn.
Andrew Henriquez, who made BLACK FOREST, asked me to write a new horror screenplay. The working title is DRIVE TO DARKNESS.
New Years at my friends house went well. Everyone enjoyed watching me get killed as the giant squid.
Don’t forget people, I’m not just everybody’s favorite murder victim or dark brooding horror writer, I have a light fluffy side too! More people are reading my comic work! They’re not doing anything with it but that’s just a minor point.
Have a good New Year Folks! Keep your fingers crossed for SAINT DEMENTIA! It looks good.
November 12th, 2007
We just wrapped today on Mark Hessle’s western “One Piece Of Lead”. I got to be a deputy in a posse complete with gun on my hip and riding a horse. It was a blast and once again I didn’t get killed. The actors were amazing and the backdrop was breathtaking in The Bethpage Restoration Village at peak foliage. I will give you the link once their website is up. Yee-Ha!
October 23rd, 2007
Well, I finally got a MySpace page. Click Here

I am now looking into writing a graphic novel using some of the Dragon Tales & Stories characters along with some of the characters from my screenplay Night Man.
August 3rd, 2007
I just got the role of The Killer Andrew D. Henriques’ feature Black Forest. Can’t wait to play that.
I will also be a Pit-Fighter in Art Comacho’s Requiem For A Pit Fighter.
In the meantime, take a look at J.D.’s work for the Heinz Ketchup commercial contest, www.youtube.com/watch?v=kcmdalR99U8. You’ll get a kick out of it. Guess who I play.
Nothing new with the books, Rob Granito is putting the final touches on the last illustration. Once he’s done, I’ll have them posted on the site.
July 18th, 2007
I’m still not sure when Dragons & Science is coming out. I’m hoping by Christmas now.
It looks as if Saint Dementia has picked up another cast member, former wrestler Evan Karagias, www.evankaragias.com/commentary.html.
Other people are involved that I cannot say, but Holt & Evan are the only ones posting us on there sites.
I’ve been going to the Long Island International Film Festsival all week, www.longislandfilm.com.
Eddie McGee’s The Angel www.myspace.com/theangelmovie was shown along with a tense film The Insurgents www.insurgentsmovie.com. There were many others, but I got to hang out with these people afterwards.
I’ve been looking to buy a house here on Long Island, if I sell off one of my kidneys, I might be able to swing it. I stop at lung tissue though!

May 30th, 2007
As of now, Casting for St. Dementia is set for June 8th & 9th in Ohio. That’s all I know. Mike Jones is still shooting for a late June filming date.
I was in a diner scene last weekend on Andre’ Joseph’s “Priceless” with Robert Clohessy (Hill Street Blues & Oz). Hard to believe this man has played so many heavies, he’s more like my brother in-law Bob.
I got to be in another shoot ’em up demonstrating the Det-Less squibing system. It was very Boondock Saints / Reservoir Dogish. I got to kick through a door with guns blazing, yee-ha! I’ll post a link once it’s up on YouTube.
April 16th, 2007
Watch me get shot for a promo. Det-Less Bloodhit System – “squib alternative”
March 25th, 2007
Icon was a blast. Denise Crosby from Star Trek and Claudia Christen from Babaylon-5 were both very friendly. I got to talk to Jamie Bamber, Apollo from Battlestar Galactica, during breakfast. Again, very friendly. All three were given copies of Dragons & Wolves and said that they loved to read. They said that they needed reading material for the flight home. My buddy Karl, who maintains this site, had an awesome sketch of Arlene Martel (Spock’s wife T’Pring) singed and complemented by her.
Author guest of honor Dr. Liz Williams seemed more like an old friend from England than a noted writer. But by far, for me, was meeting Jim Butcher author of The Dresden Files series. I was on a panel with Mr. Butcher focusing on martial arts in science fiction. I meet up with him later when he was talking to my friend author Patrick Thomas. I didn’t notice him at first and he said hello to me, completely catching me off guard.
Hopefully Saint Dementia will be out by the time next years Icon comes around. The Film tract were interested in showcasing the film.
February 22nd, 2007
Dragons & Wolves has now been out in Italy for a month, I wonder how it’s doing?
I was just on the set of Ryan Pearce’s indie movie Draw as a Card Player. It stars Rhys Coiro ( Entourage, Ugly Betty). As it turns out, the stunt men (Brian Schuley & company), on that movie are the same ones that want to film my screenplay St. Dementia. Small world isn’t it? I just worked with Brian www.gzfxandstunts.com the next day on a TGIF commercial where I helped with the rigging that simulates a lunar walk. There will be a big meeting with the producers, directors and investors March 10th to sign contracts to film St. Dementia. Keep your fingers crossed.

Happy New Year. Things are going good with Saint Dementia. We have permission to film exterior shots at Kings Park Hospital. Unfortunately, we cannot film interiors. We are now looking at Brunswick Hospital and the old Smithtown General for them. Mike Jones is still looking for investors. So if you’re a rich mucky-muck with a lot of dough, please drop us a line. He does have a distributor already.
I’ve been invited back to I-Con www.Iconsf.org
Next Sunday I start acting classes with Lisa Regina,www.LisaRegina.com, to help with my acting skills. If Mike does give me the role of Psy in Saint Dementia, I’ll need to speak coherently. It would be nice if I can drop my New Yawk accent.
December 12th, 2006
I got my royalty check from the Italian Publisher, Gruppo Editoriale Armenia. Dragons & Wolves should be printed in Italian by February.
The horror flick I wrote for Mike Jones of www.MHstunts.com, Saint Dementia, was well received and he would like to film it. I wrote myself in as a psycho biker named Psy. It is now being shopped around for investors. Anybody know any?

My ribs are killing me from a strike while I was sparing. I hit a purple belt in the head and he didn’t respect the punch (it’s held back) and got me in the ribs.

I just got back from Atlantic City where I received an award from Action Martial Arts Magazine for my dedication to the martial arts. Pictures will follow, the thing is bigger than my Jeep. I met many martial artists (Don “The Dragon” Wilson, Cynthia Rothrock, Chuck Zito, Phil Morris) and shamlessly gave them copies of my book. My article “There Was This Time at Stunt Camp…” should be in the next issue of Black Belt Magazine. I do want to thank Master Allen Goldberg for a wonderful expo.
